Happy New Year! 2016 Highlights.

We're back from our holidays and would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!

Having started our venture last year, we've had an amazing year of meeting new people, trade shows, gift fairs and seeing our stock in UK stores! It's all been really exciting and we can't believe it's gone by so fast. Now we're ready for 2017!

Some highlights from 2016 include:

There was so much more! We've had a wonderful time, and especially enjoyed hearing how much people enjoyed our candles - the Christmas scents this year proved really popular!

Thanks for joining us on the journey so far! We've got plenty more to come!

What was the highlight of your year?

Winter Is Coming - 5 Ways To Embrace It

Icy mornings and cold evenings make us want to curl up and do nothing. Why not embrace it and make the most of cosy evenings in.

Here's how to enjoy the colder months and embrace the season:

1. Wrap up warm. Grab a blanket or throw, wear your biggest, cosiest jumpers and embrace those chunky knits. Go big or go cold!

2. Light a candle or two. A lit candle always makes a room feel more homely - it's even better if you have some Autumn/Winter scents to enjoy.

3. Play games with the family. Board games, charades and other indoor games are the perfect way to keep the family entertained on miserable days, and means you get to spend time making memories.

4. Hot drinks. It's the time of year to get a little more experimetal with your hot drinks. Why not make hot chocolate with all the extras, or try some new teas. You could make some mulled wine too to celebrate the season.

5. Cook warming meals. There is no better feeling in Winter than sipping soup or eating a heart warming casserole. You might have a family classic or could try some new recipes.

If all of this fails to help you enjoy the cold Winter months, just think about Christmas!

Do you enjoy Winter? What else makes you feel cosy at home during the colder months?

List of Stockists

We have added a list of stockists to the website in order to make it easier for you to find our candles!

You can see all stockists HERE, and the page will be updated constantly, so check back if you cannot see a place near you. Many of our stockists also have websites, so if you do not have a stockist in your local area yet, don't forget to try those.

If you would like to stock our candles, we'd love to hear from you! We have merchandising offers too so ask about those too.

Don't forget to let us know if you see our Tuscany, Boulevard, Langley or Downton Abbey licensed range candles anywhere. Tag us on social media using @unitedcandles too.

Cosy Home & Autumn Fragrance

The nights are drawing in, and the days have become colder. Closed curtains, heating on and hot drinks in front of the television are called for at this time of year. However, to make the room extra cosy, you might consider lighting some candles.

Not only do they look great and smell even better, but they also add some warmth and softness to a room.

We have collected the perfect Autumn scents to help you embrace the season.

Our limited edition gold Tuscany Candle range includes baked scents and harvest fruits, such as Pumpkin Pie and Autumn Citrus & Cinnamon.

The sweater collection prepares us for winter with a range of Scandinavian designs destined for Christmas jumpers. From Snow Day to Sleigh Ride, these fun 2 wick candles make a great addition to a cosy home.

The Boulevard Wine collection is perfect for those who enjoy a glass on a cold Autumn evening. Combined fruit scents and oak notes create these wine fragrances, so you can choose your favourite to complement your choice of drink.

Ginger, Pumpkin & Orange are the perfect fragrances to create a warm, just baked, home scent. With mason jars remaining a popular choice in the home, these candles will add some rustic charm to your setting.

You can find all of our ranges on our website and at a stockist near you.

What is your favourite Autumn fragrance? What else do you do to keep cosy when the nights start getting cold?

Time for Birmingham!

We're in the last few days of preparation before heading off to the Autumn Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. We're excited to be showing our favourite products and brand new ranges! This is the first fair at the NEC that we'll be attending for United Candles and we'd love to see you there!

Have you been to the Autumn Fair before? Are you planning on visiting this year?

Are you coming to the Autumn Fair, NEC?

We've had a busy few weeks here at United Candles, attending the Harrogate Home & Gift Buyer's Festival, then the Gift & Home Fair in Dublin, and this week, we're preparing for this season's home and gift show at the NEC in Birmingham, the Autumn Fair!

This trade show is a must-attend fair for UK and International buyers, and we're definitely looking forward to meeting some new people.

This will be the first fair we attend at the NEC for United Candles and we're very much looking forward to the atmosphere, making new connections, and checking out the other products.

We currently have all new Valentine's candles and our Spring Summer range for 2017 on offer. Of course, we have the core ranges too, all of which you can see on our website.

Here's a preview of just a few candles on offer...

Don't forget, at our shows, we have a special offer!

Have you ever attended a trade fair at the NEC? Let us know in the comments if you plan to attend this year and especially if you'd like to see what we have to offer.

Hopefully see you there!

Harrogate Home & Gift Buyer's Festival 2016

As you may know, we went to our first Harrogate Home & Gift Buyer's Festival for United Candles last week. We thouroughly enjoyed showcasing our new products and meeting everyone. There was a great atmosphere and it was exciting to be a part of it.

Of course, we took a few snaps while there of our stand and displays.

There was a great buzz at the festival and we're already looking forward to the next one.

On the fourth and last day of the show, we were approached by The Giftware Association and nominated for Gift of the Year 2017 for our Downton Abbey licensed range!

Were you at the festival? Was it your first time too? How did you find it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
